Katy Perry Extends Las Vegas Residency to 2023

American Idol judge Katy Perry has recently announced new show dates of her hit show, PLAY. The singer will stay in Las Vegas, Nevada to carry out a 14-date concert residency next year.
Katy Perry Announces PLAY 2023 Dates
On the heels of her residency in Sin City, pop superstar Katy Perry gives fans more chances of seeing her perform through PLAY. On October 27, Perry revealed that she would be extending her residency, by poking fun at her eye glitch during one of her performances.
“Welcoming all my #flatearthers #spaceisfakers #birdsarentrealers #skyisntbluers to come see my broken doll eye party trick IRL in Vegas next year!” she wrote. “The show’s set list is a fun through memory lane going all the way back to 2008, a time when we weren’t all frozen by the paranoia of our own echo chambers!”
PLAY is held at Resorts World Theater in Las Vegas and first premiered on December 29, 2021. In 2023, it will run from February 15 through April 15. The hit show will go on sporadically.
According to Perry, PLAY is a “nonstop party about finding unconditional love.” Last June, she introduced a new character name Ratso, a giant rat voiced by by actor Harvey Fierstein.
General ticket selling for the additional shows will begin on November 4 at 10 a.m. PT. Meanwhile, American Express Card Members are allowed to purchase tickets on November 1 until November 3.
Her Wonk Eye Remains Trending, Concerns Fans
Recently, the pop singer went trending after a video of her eye glitch were taken and posted on Twitter. This incident caused the internet to wonder what’s happening to her seemingly malfunctioning eye.
Perry did not immediately address this viral video but waited days until she announced the extension of her Las Vegas Residency. Gagging herself with the recent announcement, somehow subsided fans’ weird theories. Despite so, the clip has been a subject of meme contents on social media.
Meanwhile, some fans are concerned that her eye twitches might be a serious medical condition. Nevertheless, the singer has addressed this since 2021. She once explained during American Idol that she used to be worried about it but eventually decided to celebrate that wonk eye condition.
