Hong Kong has once again won the title of most expensive city for foreign workers in Mercer's 2024 Cost of Living Survey.
The study compared the cost of living in 226 cities. Analysts paid attention to the prices of housing, transport, food, household goods and entertainment.

Hong Kong is the most expensive city in the world
Hong Kong, which also won in 2022 and 2023, took first place in this year's ranking ahead of Singapore, which came in second. The Swiss cities of Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Bern took third to sixth place, respectively.
Among American cities, New York took the highest place, ranking seventh. London came in eighth place. Nassau in the Bahamas and Los Angeles closed out the rankings in ninth and tenth place.
